Archons

An Archon is one of a race of '"mythical" creatures and gods from the time before the Elders. It is said that they inhabited a Nameless Metropolis, near which, they had a cataclysmic battle with the Ancients and Earthlords. The energies released disrupted even the Ley Lines . It is also said that the Archons had used the Elemental Swords to create the ley lines and fashion the first Shadowrealms. An Archon is one of the most powerful beings. It is unknown whether the Archons use magic or technology. In The Necromancer it is said that there are twelve Archons. The Archons developed incredible technology during their reign. It is said that vast libraries were destroyed by the Witch of Endor to get rid of the knowledge. However, as time went on, the Archons became weak. Coatlicue and Cernunnos, two Archon scientists were once very good-looking. But when experimentation was outlawed, they began to experiment on themselves. In The Necromancer Coatlicue is said to have a skirt of snakes and crocodile claws for hands. Cernunnos, a minor Archon is now part deer part man. The only part of him that remains the same was his face. Unnaturally tan, with a white smile, his face is an image of what he once was.
