Dagon is an intelligent humanoid creature with fish-like qualities. He served as an assistant to Niccolo Machiavelli for hundreds of years, and has a vendetta with Scathach. He is at least as old as Niddhog, meaning he dates back to some primordial point in earth's history.

History[]

Dagon lived on Danu Talis and was there at its fall, wearing full combat armor. He claims to have seen a great many pure-colored auras, and even a few twins with gold and silver. Dagon is the personal bodyguard, chauffeur and assistant to Niccolò Machiavelli during the events of The Magician. He is apparently as old as the primordial creature Nidhogg (who inhabited the Earth long before the Elders) but is the last of his kind as his race was destroyed by Scathach, the Warrior Maid. His physical features include a circular shaped mouth surrounded by sharp teeth, vocal abilities close to that of a whale, and pale, white skin.

Appearence[]

Dagon is very fish-like with fishy skin, bulbous eyes, and webbed feet. He usually wears a tailor made suit and Ray Bans.

Trivia[]

  • During the events of The Enchantress, Aten questioned Marethyu about how he must've bribed Dagon as the "Fish Folk" are incorruptible. This proves the Fish Folk is the name/nickname of Dagon's lost species.
  • Aten also mentions that they live in a nearby Shadowrealm, thus explaining how Scathach found them.
  • Marethyu also states that he told Dagon his future that he would be locked in combat with an undefeated warrior in The Enchantress, which was proved correct when he fought Scathatch in a Paris river in The Magician. Marethyu told Dagon that she would release him from the fight if he would simply say "Marethyu".
  • Because Dagon is not seen in the future, it can be assumed that he is in some different Shadowrealm, keeping well out of the way of Scathach.
  • Dagon is also the name of a Eastern Semitic God, and possibly the greatest Philistinian Deity. As Dagon was the fish-god, it is possible that Dagon was worshipped as a god in Mesopotamia before entering Machiavelli's service.
