Dark Elders are Elders who wished to return the Earth to rule and became Dark Elders. They became the masters of immortal humani to gain The Codex, which was bound in spells to stop beings of the Elder race from going near it. Those Elders who were content with the humani, waged a great battle but lost to the Dark Elders.
