Palamedes, or the Saracen Knight, is an Immortal who aids Nicholas Flamel.
Appearance[]
Palamedes is described as very tall and built "like a linebacker". He has a smooth shaven head, with brown eyes, brown skin, and very white teeth. On each cheek he has three short, horizontal scars.
Abilities[]
- Immortality: Palamedes gained Immortality from his Elder master, and therefore does not age (though he is vulnerable to injury and poison). Unless his master chooses to take his immortality away, Palamedes may live for thousands or millions of years.
The Sorceress[]
Palamedes is recruited by his friend Saint-Germain to bring Nicholas and the Twins to Gilgamesh. He brings Flamel and the twins to his lair in London, where they are pursued by Cernunnos and the Wild Hunt. After the battle, he takes the group to Gilgamesh the King and aids them in Stonehenge.
The Necromancer[]
In The Necromancer, Palamedes goes with William Shakespeare and Saint Germain to Tammuz for help to save Joan and Scathach. When he arrives at Marethyu's Shadowrealm, he is recruited alongside the Shadow, Joan of Arc and her husband, as well as William Shakespeare, to go back to the isle of Danu Talis and save the Humani from the Island's destruction.
The Warlock[]
As soon as they arrive on Danu Talis they are captured.

Relationships[]
Palamedes is good friends with William Shakespeare. He is also friends with Gabriel, who leads the ratchets (also called the werewolves or the Torc Madra).
He is also said to have loved Iseult, but Iseult loved Tristram, who also loved her.
He doesn't like Nicholas Flamel much, saying that Flamel could have hidden somewhere remote so that people wouldn't be hurt by Dee's attempts to kill him (the Great Fire of London, famine and plague in Ireland, etc.). However, he helps Flamel and the twins and takes a large amount of risk for them.
His master is the Green Man; however, they are not on good terms. The Green Man made him immortal as punishment and cursed him to wander the Shadowrealms but he gave Palamedes the ability to travel through Shadowrealms without being affected by their alternate times.
He is also good friends with the Comte de Saint-Germain.
Note: Palamedes and his comrades fought with King Arthur and saw him fall to Cernunnos and the Coward's Blade.
Trivia[]
- Palamedes has an olive green aura that smells of cloves.
